Netflix is transitioning the first subscribers from the basic plan to the version with ads. The atmosphere among users is not the best; some are announcing they will suspend their accounts.

The subscription price on Netflix depends on the selected plan. There are various plans: Basic, Standard, and Premium. In some regions, you can opt for a Basic option containing ads. There has been talk about Netflix's plans to phase out the basic plan offering for some time. It is becoming a reality, and the first customers are already losing access to it.

In which countries has Netflix discontinued the basic plan?

The situation is becoming increasingly tense, as Netflix has disconnected the first subscribers from the basic plan, offering them an alternative with ads. This affects customers in the UK and Canada. It is not yet confirmed which countries will be next on the list, but there is speculation about the US or Australia. The mood among these users is far from optimistic.

At the beginning of this year, information surfaced that Netflix planned to withdraw the offer of the basic plan, a move we are now seeing as the consequence of earlier announcements.
