Biden stressed that "In a democracy the will of the people always prevails." We accept the choice the country made. You can’t love your country only when you win. You can’t love your neighbor only when you agree. Something to hope we can do, no matter who you voted for, is see each other not as adversaries, but as fellow Americans. Bring down the temperature, he stated.

On 20th January, we will have a peaceful transfer of power in America, Biden emphasised.

Addressing his supporters, Biden assessed that during his term, "Together, we've changed America for the better."

Biden had already announced that he invited Donald Trump to visit the White House, and Trump's team announced that the meeting would take place "soon."

Biden spoke with Harris. "She gave her heart"

Biden added that on Wednesday, he also had a conversation with the defeated Vice President Kamala Harris. He assessed that the Democratic candidate led an "inspiring" campaign.

President Biden spoke about Vice President Harris, saying that he "learned early on to respect so much" her "true character." Harris, as he claimed, "gave her whole heart and effort and she and her entire team should be proud of the campaign they ran."

There are 74 days left until the end of the current president's term on 20th January.
