Mourinho uncorks 'The Special One': A toast to excellence

Jose Mourinho, a football coach known for his precision and pursuit of excellence, is launching his wine, "The Special One." The Fenerbahçe Istanbul coach presented the product on Instagram, immediately causing a stir. This is the first such business venture started by the Portuguese coach.

Jose Mourinho, the Fenerbahçe Istanbul coach, proudly announced the premiere of his wine "The Special One" on Instagram. In the published video, he emphasised that the wine comes from vineyards along the Douro River in the Alto Douro region in northeastern Portugal.

He admitted that his wine is created with passion and care, a gift from one exceptional person to another. Whether you're celebrating a victory or spending time with people you care about, this wine is meant to be shared with someone truly special," Mourinho insists.

Mourinho, known as "The Special One," emphasises that his achievements in the world of football speak for themselves. "Finals, I have won them. Leagues, I have conquered them. I don't need to say anything. My achievements, my success, and my work. They speak for themselves. This is The Special One. Now yours to share," he said.

The Portuguese joins the ranks of footballers and coaches who have successfully entered the wine market. Previously in this industry were Leo Messi, Andres Iniesta, Andrea Pirlo, Damiano Tommasi, Vincent Candela, Edinson Cavani, Alberto Malesani, and Luciano Spalletti.

For two decades, Mourinho has been considered one of the best coaches in the world. With FC Porto, he won the Portuguese championship, the UEFA Cup, and the Champions League. In 2004, he moved to Chelsea in London, where he triumphed in the Premier League. With Inter Milan, he won the Italian championship and cup and triumphed in the Champions League for the second time in his career. He then managed Real Madrid, followed by Chelsea once more, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, AS Roma, and at the beginning of this current season, he took the helm at Fenerbahçe.
