Mick Jagger booed by the audience

The Rolling Stones concert took place in Vancouver. The band, known not only for their great musical hits but also for their controversial statements on current socio-political issues in America and other parts of the world, drew crowds to the stage as usual. However, not everything went according to their plan.

This time, Mick Jagger, the vocalist of the legendary musical crew, in addition to displaying great energy on stage through dance and singing, decided to speak about Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau. His words did not please many fans, and he was loudly booed, after which he took a break.

We love your Mr Trudeau. I mean, his family has always been such big fans of our band - said the singer.

Despite this, the artists returned to the stage after a moment, and the experienced vocalist had no problem managing the situation. When the atmosphere calmed, Jagger referred to the ongoing Copa America 2024, the American equivalent of the Euros, specifically the Canadian team, which had then secured a spot in the semi-finals.

By the way, congratulations to the Canadian soccer team getting to the semifinals - he added.

However, according to reports from the Toronto Sun, the Rolling Stones' vocalist's reference to Justin Trudeau was a joke. The artist was referring to a photo from the 1950s showing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's mother, Margaret Trudeau, partying with the band. This caused a major scandal, as she was already married to then-Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.
