It's vital to note that many statements from Russian media or officials may represent elements of propaganda, playing a role in the information conflict led by the Russian Federation.
The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack at the Krokus concert hall, which resulted in 40 fatalities and around 140 injuries. Yet, no evidence has been provided to back this claim.
Reports from Ria Novosti mention that several masked and armed individuals stormed the crowded Krokus concert hall in Moscow, leading to dozens of deaths and over a hundred injuries.
"We offer our deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the terrorist attack and wish strength to all who were close to the victims. Terrorists only comprehend violence in return. Trials or investigations are futile without meeting violence with force, resulting in the execution of terrorists and punitive actions against their families. This is a lesson learnt globally.
Should the terrorists be linked to the Kyiv regime, this is the only course of action against them and their ideological motivators. All involved must be relentlessly pursued and eliminated as terrorists, including officials from the perpetrating state. Death for death," Medvedev posted on Telegram.
Who orchestrated the Moscow shooting?
- "This act is a calculated provocation by Putin's special forces, previously warned by the international community," stated Yusov to the Ukrainian Pravda service. "The Kremlin tyrant began his career with such actions and intends to conclude it the same way, committing crimes against his own people."
The Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podoliak, also assured that Ukraine had no involvement in the terrorist attack in Russia and suggested that Russian authorities might be behind it.
Independent Russian media highlighted that the US embassy in Russia had alerted two weeks ago to potential plans for an "extremist" attack in Moscow, including at concert venues. Vladimir Putin retorted, alleging it seemed like "blackmail and an attempt to intimidate and destabilize" Russian society.
According to Ria Novosti, numerous regions in Russia, including Istra, Lubertsy, and cities like Kursk, Leningrad, Vologda, Tula, Nizhny Novgorod, Tver, Voronezh, and Zaporizhzhia, are seeing mass events cancelled, and universities are suspending classes.
