Mats Hummels reveals new romance with model Nicola Cavanis
Mats Hummels, 35, a German national team defender, officially introduced his new partner, 25-year-old model Nicola Cavanis, during the Ballon d'Or award ceremony.
Mats Hummels appeared on the red carpet with Nicola Cavanis, capturing significant media and fans' attention. The couple, holding hands, attracted interest with their elegance. Nicola dazzled in a white, form-fitting gown, while Hummels was dapper in a black tuxedo.
According to "The Sun", this was the couple's first official public appearance, although German media had previously speculated about their relationship.
Nicola, who began her modelling career as a teenager, gained popularity in Germany after appearing in a Nivea advertisement in 2021. She has worked with brands such as Victoria's Secret, Puma, MCM, New Yorker, and Tchibo.
The model enjoys immense popularity on social media. She has 1.9 million followers on Instagram and 500,000 fans on TikTok. Although she hails from Bavaria, she doesn't support Hummels' former club, Bayern Munich, but is a fan of FC Augsburg.
Hummels began dating Nicola after separating from his wife, Cathy Fischer, in 2022. They were married for seven years and share a six-year-old son, Ludwig. Cathy, also a model, posed for Playboy and was named WAG of the Year in Germany in 2013 when Hummels played for Borussia Dortmund.

During the Ballon d'Or gala, Hummels placed 29th among the best footballers in the world. Nevertheless, fans joked that he won the "real trophy" by appearing with his new partner.
