- We must work closely with the USA, of course in close contact with Ukraine, to find a solution that considers Ukraine's interests and the sovereignty of that country - said Macron after a meeting with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, which took place on Thursday at 14:00 GMT in Warsaw.
Macron stressed that lasting security for Ukraine is crucial for the security of Europe. He pointed to the necessity of providing Ukraine with appropriate security guarantees in the future.
President Macron recalled the recent trilateral meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during which a new role for the United States was discussed in the upcoming weeks and months.
Macron praised Trump. Mentioned Ukraine
He thanked U.S. President Joe Biden's administration for "support from the very beginning" and added that the Trump administration was willing to work towards ending the conflict.
"We must collaborate closely with the United States, maintaining constant dialogue with Ukraine, to seek a solution that respects Ukraine's interests and upholds its sovereignty," Macron reiterated, underscoring the significance of international cooperation.
The President of France concurred with Prime Minister Tusk, asserting that France alone will determine its course of action, just as Poland retains sole authority over its decisions.
