  • Reuters and the Washington Post portal reported that former President Jimmy Carter passed away on Sunday at the age of 100, citing the deceased's son. Carter was the 39th President of the United States, serving from 1977 to 1981. In 2002, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
  • The pilot of the Jeju Aeroplane, which crashed on Sunday at Muan Airport in southwestern South Korea, reported to air traffic control that the plane collided with a bird - stated the South Korean Ministry of Transport on Monday.
  • At least 66 people died in a road accident that occurred in southern Ethiopia - local health authorities reported on Sunday. Further details are yet to be provided.
