Knife attack in Hradec Králové claims two lives, suspect caught

On Thursday morning, a knife attack occurred in a shop in Hradec Králové, situated in the north of the Czech Republic. Two people sustained injuries and were taken to hospital. Regrettably, the police reported that despite doctors' efforts, the victims succumbed to their extensive injuries.

Reports of the incident began arriving at around 7:30 GMT. "We've received several emergency calls about a knife-wielding attacker in Hradec Králové. The callers mentioned multiple people being stabbed. We dispatched all available units to the scene," rescuers conveyed on social media.
Several teams of medical rescuers and officers, including a special unit, were immediately sent to the scene. Thanks to their swift action, the assailant was apprehended before he could harm more individuals.
At present, the exact circumstances of the attack and the perpetrator's motives remain unknown. The police have stated that the suspect is a young citizen of the Czech Republic.
The police have assured the public that the situation is now under control, and there is no threat to anyone's safety.
