Israel has reportedly informed the United States that it plans to retaliate against Iran soon. American media have reported that Washington did not endorse the planned retaliation. "We did not support the response," an anonymous source stated.
According to NBC News' source, Israel warned the US that a "response is coming," but the US was not involved in the planning.
Conversation between defense ministers
Meanwhile, the Pentagon reported a Thursday discussion between US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and his Israeli counterpart, Yoav Gallant. Topics of their conversation included "regional threats and Iran's destabilizing activities in the Middle East," as reported by various media outlets, including CNN and "The New York Times".
The situation in the Middle East remains tense and complex, with relations between Israel and Iran showing no signs of improvement. Although the United States is an ally of Israel, it has not shown support for any retaliatory action against Iran.
