"Based on legitimate rights and with the aim of peace and security for Iran and the region, a decisive response was given to the aggression of the Zionist regime. This action was in defence of the interests and citizens of Iran," Pezeszkian wrote on platform X.

He added, "this is just part of our capability". "Do not get into confrontation with Iran," he warned.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps claims that 90 per cent of the missiles hit their targets, including three military bases. According to the Guards, Iran used the Fattah hypersonic missile for the first time.
