According to the spokesman, Iran fired a total of over 200 objects towards Israel, including drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. Most were shot down.
The spokesman stated that most of the ballistic missiles were intercepted outside Israel's airspace. As a result of the attack in the Negev desert in the southern part of Israel, however, a seven-year-old girl was injured. Doctors say fragments of an intercepted missile injured the girl.
Slightly damaged military base
In another incident, "slight damage to the infrastructure" of a military base was reported in the south of Israel - as conveyed by The Times of Israel portal.
The Times of Israel had initially reported that the first person injured in the attack was a 10-year-old boy from a Bedouin village near the city of Arad. It later updated those reports with the news about the injured girl, who is in a severe condition, according to the portal.
