Iran escalates conflict with mass drone and missile attack on Israel

The Israeli military claims it is tracking "over 100 drones" launched by Iran. Meanwhile, the Iranian news agency reported that Tehran has already launched ballistic missiles towards Israel. According to an American official, quoted by ABC News, this is just the beginning of the attack.

A high-ranking American official, quoted by ABC News, claims that between 400 to 500 drones and missiles will be launched towards Israel. Some of them will be launched from the territories of Iraq, Syria, southern Lebanon, and Yemen, controlled by the Houthis.

He emphasizes that majority of drones and missiles will be launched from Iran

The unnamed official quoted claims that Iran attacks Israel with the same drones that the Russians launch towards Ukraine.

Israel under attack from several directions

The Israeli military (IDF) reports for now that it is tracking "over 100 drones" launched by Iran. It has not confirmed information about ballistic missiles, which were reported to have been launched by Tehran.

In the meantime, alarm sirens have already sounded in the north of Israel. This is related to a missile attack from the territory of Lebanon.

The AFP agency, meanwhile, reports that Houthi fighters have launched drones towards Israel.

So, Israel is being attacked from several directions tonight.
