The International Criminal Court accuses Netanyahu, Gallant, and Al-Masri of war crimes and crimes against humanity concerning the conflict in the Gaza Strip and the Hamas attack on Israel on 7 October 2023.
The Court stated that revealing this information and issuing the warrants serve the best interests of the victims and their families.
The court rejected Israel's appeals
Simultaneously, it unanimously issued two decisions rejecting Israel's appeals under Articles 18 and 19 of the Rome Statute, as noted in the communiqué.
It should be noted that in the first appeal, Israel challenged the Court's jurisdiction over the situation in Palestine. In the second, Israel requested the suspension of all proceedings before the Court, including consideration of the prosecution's requests for the arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant submitted on 20 May 2024.
