Channing Tatum (44) and Zoë Kravitz (35) decided to end their relationship after the promotion of the film "Blink Twice," which Kravitz directed. According to a source quoted by Page Six, the couple realised they had different future expectations.
"Ultimately, once the project ended, they realized they were on different pages with what they wanted," said someone from Tatum's entourage. "It fizzled fast after their press tour wrapped."
Relationship history
The actors met in 2021 while working on the psychological thriller Blink Twice. Kravitz directed the production, and Tatum was the lead actor. They became engaged two years later. The couple promoted the film together before its August premiere, exchanging interview compliments.
"[Kravitz] and Channing are opposites, but they always bonded over their love for art and film, and that is what held them together," added the informant. It turned out that wedding planning overwhelmed them. "Wedding plans were looming, but neither of them were rushing to the altar."
Zoë Kravitz became more independent after her divorce from Karl Glusman in 2021, with whom she had been married since 2019. "After her divorce, she expressed that she didn’t necessarily need to get married again," the source emphasised.
Channing Tatum, who was previously married to Jenna Dewan for nearly a decade (their final divorce occurred only in September 2024, six years after they announced their separation) and has an 11-year-old daughter, Everly, with her, was also cautious about remarrying. However, he felt he could start a family with Zoë. Kravitz, however, was primarily focused on her career.
"They were looking at the long-term bigger picture and realized they may not be a good match. There is still a lot of love between them, and [the split] was amicable." Interestingly, nearly two months ago, on 3rd September, Tatum posted a photo with his love, captioning it with a statement that they "would be together forever."
Despite ending their relationship, the couple remains on good terms and will soon be seen together in the upcoming science fiction comedy Alpha Gang. Neither Kravitz nor Tatum has publicly commented on their break-up, but the actress, known for her role in the movie Batman, was spotted without her 7-carat engagement ring, which appears to confirm the reports.
