Hollywood shock: Tatum and Kravitz call off engagement

The magazine "People" reported that Channing Tatum, known for films such as "Magic Mike" and Zoe Kravitz (Catwoman in Matt Reeves’s "Batman"), broke up a year after getting engaged.

The couple met at the beginning of 2021 during the start of work on Kravitz’s directorial debut, "Blink Twice", in which Tatum played the lead role. Rumours about their relationship began circulating in August 2021 when paparazzi photographed them on a bike ride together in New York. Images of Kravitz wrapping her arms around Tatum sparked speculation in the media.

Soon after, in September, the couple was spotted together after the Met Gala, another signal to fans and the media that they might be more than just friends. In October of the same year, they confirmed their relationship by publicly appearing together at a lunch in New York, showing affection. On Halloween, they posted photos in costumes inspired by the film "Taxi Driver", which the media viewed as a symbolic final "confirmation" of their relationship.

In 2022, both Kravitz and Tatum began to speak more frequently about each other in interviews. Kravitz called him a feminist and emphasised his openness to discussions about art and film, while Tatum spoke about how he valued her approach to work and attention to detail. In February 2022, Tatum supported Kravitz during her film "The Batman" premiere. That summer, they spent a holiday together in Italy, celebrating the first anniversary of their relationship.

Their relationship deepened over time. In fact, in the autumn of the previous year, Channing proposed to Zoe. However, it seems that the wedding will ultimately not take place. Interestingly, just under two months ago – on 3rd September – the actor posted a photo with his beloved, mentioning that they would "be together forever" and overcome all life's challenges. The reason for their breakup remains a mystery. For now, neither of them has publicly addressed these revelations.
