Farewell to 'Catwoman': Jocelyne Wildenstein dies at 84
On New Year's Day, the media reported that "Catwoman" had died at 84. Shortly before her death, Jocelyne Wildenstein posted a photo on Instagram to celebrate her daughter's birthday. The celebrity looked remarkably different at that time.
Jocelyne Wildenstein passed away at the age of 84 in Paris due to a pulmonary embolism. "Catwoman" became famous for her fondness for plastic surgery. Her nickname stemmed from her desire to resemble her favourite animals.
In 2023 an interview with "The Sunday Times," the Swiss-born celebrity discussed her challenging divorce. Her ex-husband, Alec Wildenstein, was unfaithful to her and, during the trial, blamed the breakdown of their relationship on "Catwoman" having too many plastic surgeries.
Their divorce, which occurred in 1999 after two decades of marriage, was widely discussed, partly because of the substantial amounts of money "Catwoman" was expected to receive. The millionaire was supposed to pay £82 million annually and make a one-time payment of £1.64 billion.
The last years of "Catwoman's" life were spent with Lloyd Klein, who was 28 years her junior.
This is how "Catwoman" looked before plastic surgeries
A few months before her death, Jocelyne Wildenstein posted an archival photo on Instagram with her daughter from the times when she was not yet addicted to plastic surgeries. "Catwoman" looked entirely different from her appearance in recent years.
Until recently, Wildenstein insisted that she had not undergone plastic surgeries, claiming her appearance was due to Swiss genes. Later, she admitted to having some procedures, but not as many as the media suggested. Reportedly, all her procedures were estimated to cost £3.28 million.
