Preparing edible chestnuts is straightforward. How to make roasted chestnuts? The recipe is exceedingly simple. To enjoy their unique flavour, start by cutting the skin of each chestnut. This allows steam to escape during baking and prevents them from bursting.

After cutting, it's best to toss the chestnuts into a pot of boiling water for a few minutes, which makes peeling easier later. To roast edible chestnuts, spread them on a baking tray and bake at 200°C for about 15-20 minutes until the skin becomes brown and crispy. After cooling briefly, they can be easily peeled and served warm.
