Eva Longoria's dual continent life avoids Trump politics

This year's presidential election in the USA has sparked quite a bit of controversy, especially after the results were announced, revealing that Donald Trump would become president. Many were outraged by this, not only because of the deplorable statements made by the politician (including suggestions that visitors from Haiti hunt and eat dogs and cats) but also due to the claim that he is a "convicted felon."

It's no secret that most of the American showbiz community is not fond of Trump. Some time ago, there was even news in the media that Eva Longoria moved abroad to protest the 78-year-old president. Her latest interview for Marie Claire magazine added intrigue, as she stated that "most Americans aren't so lucky" as she is to be able to build a life in another country.

Indeed, Longoria currently does not live in the USA, but this is not new. The actress denied rumours that she left the country for political reasons in the podcast "The View's Behind the Table." During the recording, she even called her friend Ana Navarro to confirm that she didn’t move out of the USA because of Trump.

So where does Eva Longoria live now? For the past few years, the actress has been living in two countries: Mexico and Spain. This is due in part to her professional activities, which she discussed in the same podcast. In Spain, she works on the series "Land of Women," and in Mexico, she's producing the documentary "Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico."

Longoria speaks Spanish fluently, although she only started learning the language in 2009. The motivation to learn might have been her relationship with her current husband, José Bastón. The star's beloved is a Mexican film producer. The couple married in 2016. They have one child, a six-year-old son.
