Elon Musk admits: "Some of the things that I say will be incorrect"
Elon Musk has once again surprised the public. On Tuesday, in the Oval Office, during Donald Trump's signing of an order requiring all federal agencies to cooperate with Musk's team, he admitted in response to journalists' questions that "some of the things that I say will be incorrect."
The text of the US president's order regarding government agencies' cooperation with DOGE—Musk's team focused on cost reduction and job cuts—is not yet known. However, it is understood that this initiative will involve plans for "large-scale" employee reductions and will limit hiring to "essential" positions only.
Musk, whose companies now hold multi-billion-dollar contracts with government agencies, primarily the Pentagon, dismissed journalists' questions about the controversial actions of his DOGE team. He did not wish to clarify whether a conflict of interest might arise.
Elon Musk's astonishing words: "Some of the things that I say will be incorrect"
He merely stated that because DOGE reports its activities on its website, this equates to full transparency. "Well, all of our actions are fully public. So, if you see anything you say like, wait a second, hey, you know what that does? That seems like maybe that's, you know, that there's a conflict there," said the billionaire.
He also made some puzzling remarks. These comments were made when journalists questioned him about the issue he highlighted, claiming the USAID agency spent 50 million dollars "for condoms to Hamas."
In reality, however, the matter was related to transportation spending to Gaza Province in Mozambique, aimed at combating AIDS. "Some of the things that I say will be incorrect and should be corrected," replied billionaire Elon Musk.
