An investigation will be launched into a video released by the "Saint Petersburg Observers" channel, which showcases alleged fraudulent activities at the ballot box during the presidential elections in Russia. The video sparked outrage as it appeared to show committee members stuffing hundreds of votes into a ballot box.

The Saint Petersburg Electoral Commission will scrutinize the footage showing two individuals, apparently on their knees, inserting hundreds of votes into a ballot box before knocking it over to conceal their actions.

Putin's "election": Odd footage emerges from Saint Petersburg

Following the publication of the incriminating video, the Saint Petersburg Electoral Commission announced that, in accordance with federal law 67-FZ, they have commenced inspections to assess the claims made in media reports concerning the election committee's operations.

Leaders of both city and regional commissions have been requested to provide thorough information on voting procedures and result determination processes, as stated by the commission.

A peculiar incident took place at polling station no. 5 in Saint Petersburg. According to the independent Russian portal Agenstwo.Novosti, voters at this location were required to approach the ballot box on their knees. Here, Putin reportedly secured 81.28% of the vote.

Strange video from Russia goes viral

On Wednesday, the "Saint Petersburg Observers" channel uploaded a 24-minute video, shining a light on the alleged electoral fraud during the presidential vote in Russia. The legitimacy of the video is supported by the visible committee identification number, 12903, on the glass and plaque at the scene.

A woman, identified as the committee's chair, is seen kneeling at the committee's entrance with a large stack of papers. She proceeds to crawl towards the ballot box, dropping the papers as she goes, followed by another individual who assists her.

To ensure the papers appeared to have been naturally placed within the ballot box and to evade detection of the fraud, one woman lies flat on the floor, tilting the ballot box onto herself, while her accomplice lifts it to mix the papers inside.
