The water in the Ob River valley, a crucial watercourse in this region, flooded so many homes that authorities had to initiate evacuations.
According to Belsat, a significant rise in water levels led to the declaration of a state of emergency. The flood affected 127 homes across 37 localities.
The cities of Kamień on the Ob, Sławgorod, and the areas around Burła, Blagoveshchensk, and Novoaltaysk were among the victims of the spring thaw.
The footage shows homes submerged and roads torn apart. The fire brigade has been assisting residents in evacuating their animals.
