Along with her, another woman and a boy died. The attack happened during preparations for the annual celebrations in honour of Santa Muerte. Eight people, including two children, were injured in the attack on the street altar. As reported by the Independent, no immediate information was given about their condition. Witnesses described the event as a sudden and brutal attack. Worshippers gathered at the altar were surprised by armed attackers. The police are investigating to determine the motives and perpetrators of the crime.
