Custom Ducati Scramblers steal the show at London MotoShow

During the Bike Shed MotoShow in London, two custom bikes based on the Ducati Scrambler were presented. They are as different as possible, but both look fantastic.

Bike Shed Moto Co. is a well-known motorcycle bar in London (also a restaurant, barber shop, tattoo studio, meeting place, and more) with a branch in Los Angeles. For several years, it has been responsible for a motorcycle event where a substantial number of custom bikes can be admired each time. For the 2024 edition, Centro Stile Ducati prepared its projects.

Both are based on Scramblers, but they are distinctly different. The first one is named CR24I. These letters are an abbreviation for café racer, which makes everything clear. This model references a motorcycle subculture that started in London. Modern café racers differ somewhat from the original machines that bore this name. Nowadays, the focus is on the old-school style, often having little to do with high-speed riding. However, the Ducati CR24I is different.

A significant step away from the typical Scrambler (even the stock version that was dubbed a café racer a few years ago) was taken, featuring a sporty fairing (reminiscent of old Ducati models and somewhat similar to the MV Agusta Superveloce today). Add to that road tyres and clip-on handlebars with mirrors attached at the ends. The look is completed with a sporty, single-seat saddle and special paintwork.

The second model presented in London is called RR24I and is a typical scrambler, designed for off-road riding. It features spoked wheels, a high-mounted mudguard, more off-road-oriented tyres known from other Ducati Scramblers, and a headlamp with a characteristic X. According to the creators, the inspiration for this project came from post-apocalyptic films and TV shows. Naturally, the special paintwork adds the appropriate character.

The Ducati Scramblers presented at the Bike Shed MotoShow are further proof that custom bikes can significantly alter a motorcycle's character. While the RR24I remains true to the spirit of the standard model, the CR24I shows a completely different face.
