Cruise and Pitt to reunite on film set after three decades?
We reported recently that the creator of "Pulp Fiction" would reunite once again with Brad Pitt, who has already led in two of his films: "Inglourious Basterds" and "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood". The storyline of "The Movie Critic," as the upcoming Tarantino production is titled, is set in the 70s and centers around the eponymous character, who, intriguingly, is based on a real person. The director found inspiration for the film in the critiques of a certain author, published in an adult magazine from his youth.

Will Tom Cruise be a part of Tarantino's upcoming film?
Jeff Sneider reported the prospective first collaboration between Cruise and Tarantino on the InSneider portal. If this information is confirmed, a fate that evaded "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood" will transpire. Cruise, a stalwart of action cinema, was originally set to play Cliff Booth, a role ultimately defined by none other than Brad Pitt.
This would mark the first occasion of the two men sharing the same film set in three decades. Their last collaboration was in the well-known "Interview with the Vampire" by Neil Jordan, which, aside from two Oscar nominations (for best original music and set design) and Golden Globes (for best supporting actress Kirsten Dunst and best music), also received the Golden Raspberry award for the worst on-screen duo, formed by Pitt and Cruise. Thus, we can only hope that if they do collaborate again, the results improve this time around.
What projects are Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt currently engaged in?
Tom Cruise, recognized for his dazzling stunts and unwavering commitment to each film project, is presently involved in the next installment, already the eighth, of the popular "Mission: Impossible" saga. Last year, he was seen in its seventh part, "Dead Reckoning – Part One" by Christopher McQuarrie. The previous year, the actor starred in the box-office hit, "Top Gun: Maverick" directed by Joseph Kosinski. According to Jeff Sneider, Cruise is doing his utmost to adjust his schedule to involve himself in Tarantino's production, highlighting that he is not short of intriguing opportunities.
Brad Pitt, conversely, was last seen in 2022's "Bullet Train" by David Leitch. Recently, photographs from the set of his latest film with George Clooney, "Wolves" directed by Jon Watts, have been published online. The film is tentatively slated for release later this year. Fans are also fervently awaiting further details about the yet unnamed production by aforementioned Joseph Kosinski, which recounts the tale of a former Formula 1 driver emerging from sports retirement to mentor a budding competitor.
