The Olympic Games in Paris bring incredibly exciting sports moments, including some dangerous ones. Athletes have to deal not only with high temperatures but also with various adversities. Flavia Saraiva competed in the women's team gymnastics final, and although she had a dangerous accident, it did not undermine her morale.

While performing one of the gymnastics moves on the bars, the 24-year-old hit her head hard on the mat, cutting her brow arch. The concerned medical team immediately ran to the Brazilian lying on the ground and took care of her. The injured gymnast quickly got up, and although the situation was very dangerous, she regained control of it.

"I could not see, it bled, but the team’s doctor told me everything was all right. I believe my knee hit my eye when I tripped. It’s not the first time it happens to me," Saraiva said, as quoted by the Associated Press.

Despite the problems, the Brazilian returned to the competition, albeit with a bandage on her face. It did not stop her from helping her team in the fight for the bronze medal.
