The 20-year-old right-back, currently playing for Shakhtar Donetsk, and his ex-wife, influencer Ingrid Lima, welcomed their daughter Maite on 8 October. Wanting to mark this particular moment, Tobias tattooed the phrase: "Maite, I love you" on his arm.
However, Ingrid recently revealed that their relationship was turbulent when Maite was conceived, and both were seeing other people. She added a post on her social media profile that caused a stir.
I wanted to issue a statement about something that is becoming burdensome, and unfortunately, I have to publicly clarify it. Vinicius and I have not been together for some time. During this period, I was in a relationship with someone else, as was he. We both moved on with our lives. In the meantime, Maite came along. We decided on a DNA test, and it turned out that Maite is not Vinicius's daughter - added Ingrid.
Vinicius Tobias has not yet commented on the DNA test results.

Clubs like Bayern Munich, Juventus, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid expressed interest in Tobias. Ultimately, he joined Shakhtar Donetsk for a fee of £6 million. In 2022, he was loaned to Real Madrid, where he spent two years, making one appearance for the senior team.
At the start of this season, he returned to Shakhtar and appeared in five matches in the 2024/25 campaign.
