Purchasing a "long-haired Chihuahua" for around £300 was a surprising disappointment when the growing dog was a mix of entirely different breeds. The owner was left with photos and videos of her pet, garnering online comments full of sympathy.

Often, what seems to be a special offer turns into a scam. Jordan Skye was tempted by an advertisement for a "long-haired Chihuahua" at a reduced price of around £300. Over time, the dog grew up, showing it had nothing to do with the breed declared.

It was supposed to be a long-haired Chihuahua

Jordan Skye shared this unusual situation on TikTok, where she talked about her experience purchasing a puppy from an online sales platform. Her price was significantly lower than the standard for this breed, which convinced her to purchase immediately.

Initially, everything seemed to be perfect. The puppy, named Kiwi, was a source of pure joy. However, as time passed, his appearance began to evolve in a direction that hardly resembled a long-haired Chihuahua, looking more like a mix of different breeds.

The purchase of a long-haired Chihuahua turned out to be something completely different—reports, including a video with her pet.

What started as a small puppy has become a big dog. Even though he is charming, he does not represent the Chihuahua breed.

Jordan Skye loves her dog boundlessly, regardless of his appearance. Yet, she does not hide her disappointment in not receiving what she paid for.

Gullibility or naivety? Watch out for fake breeders

The scam has sparked numerous reactions among internet users. Some express their outrage at the actions of the original owner, while others can't believe how easily Jordan was deceived. Some comment that Jordan was simply scammed.

Scams in the illegal pet market rank third in terms of profits, just after drugs and arms trafficking. Therefore, it is worth thoroughly verifying the breeder.

Slogans like "dog with papers" or "puppies from a registered breeder" do not always guarantee credibility.

By choosing a breeder wisely, you're protecting yourself and your future four-legged friend. The conditions in which animals are bred in illegal "breederies" are often deplorable.
