Belarus and Russia bolster military ties ahead of 2025 manoeuvres
The Belarusian Defence Minister Viktar Khrenin announced, following the meeting of the joint defence ministries of both countries, that Belarus and Russia are deepening military cooperation and have approved the plan for the West-2025 manoeuvres.

Russian Minister Andrey Belousov warned about the readiness to use nuclear weapons in defence of Belarus, emphasising the importance of the alliance between the countries.
"Russia's state policy, adapted to new realities, permits the use of nuclear weapons in response to aggression against Belarus," Belousov said in Minsk, reaffirming previous statements from the Russian side.
Minister Khrenin stressed that the military cooperation between the two countries is deepening to "defend sovereignty."
During the meeting in Minsk, the plan for the joint military manoeuvres West-2025 was approved, although no dates were specified.
