Although combining bay leaves with apples may seem unusual, it yields excellent results. This is due to the properties of these two ingredients. Bay leaves are rich in vitamins A, C, and B-group, as well as minerals like iron, potassium, selenium, magnesium, and zinc. Scientists from the Medical University in Iran claim that bay leaves help reduce fat tissue, have anti-stress effects, and support immunity. Preparing a decoction of bay leaves and apples
Ingredients:
- 4 dried bay leaves,
- 1 apple,
- 1 litre of water,
- 1 cinnamon stick.
Preparation method:
- Wash the apple and cut it into four parts, removing the cores and seeds.
- Boil the water in a pot, then add the bay leaves and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the apple pieces and cinnamon stick to the water and cook, covered, for an additional 10 minutes.
- Strain the drink through a sieve.
