Bailee Madison's bloody teaser stirs excitement for "Pretty Little Liars" return

Bailee Madison has been gracing television and cinema screens since early childhood. Her latest role is Imogen Adams in "Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin" by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, a continuation of the television hit from years ago.

The production mentioned is a nod to the series that began in 2010 and enjoyed a successful run on television for seven years, spanning seven seasons. It's important to recall that the series started with Alison's mysterious disappearance, after which her friends began to be plagued by the enigmatic "A."

Originating from the books by Sara Shepard, this series has expanded into a mini-universe, encompassing three additional titles: "Ravenswood", "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists", and the aforementioned "Original Sin".

The action in the latter series unfolds 20 years following the mysterious incidents that devastated Millwood. This time, the focus shifts to the next generation, burdened with their misdeeds and those of their predecessors. The series, which commenced in 2022, has released one season. A second season is anticipated to premiere online very shortly, which Bailee Madison alluded to in her recent post.

Indeed, the series' star uploaded two photos on her Instagram profile, depicting her entirely covered in blood. In the first photo, she is clad in an elegant dress, seated cross-legged on the floor, and intently gazing at her phone's screen. In the second photo, she smiles for the camera, bloodstains visible on her face and neck.

The caption is succinct: the word "loading" with the letter "A" underlined, followed by the tag for the series' official profile. This makes it evident that the post is intended for promotional purposes, showcasing images from the set of the series' forthcoming second season, which is soon to premiere.

A recently released trailer offers a glimpse into the storyline. Annabeth Gish ("The Fall of the House of Usher"), who portrayed a therapist in "Pretty Little Liars" from 2011–2015, joins the cast.

Dr Anne Sullivan will assist and support the main characters while reminding them that they must pass summer school to progress to their final year of high school. Thus, the characters will undertake various summer jobs yet continue to sense the presence of a new antagonist, who, as specified, might not be connected to "A."

Nonetheless, his presence in town, intent on testing the girls and exacting justice, remains a significant threat.

The creators, writers, and executive producers of the series are Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa ("Riverdale") and Lindsay Calhoon Bring ("Chilling Adventures of Sabrina"). Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, Maia Reficco, Mallory Bechtel, Sharon Leal, Alex Aiono, Jordan Gonzalez, and Elias Kacavas are returning to the screen.

The second season of "Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin" is set to premiere on HBO Max on Friday, 10 May. The first season is available on HBO Max and Player, among other platforms.
