Three flavour options will satisfy fans of salmon, classic deli meats, and crispy bacon. With some vegetables and sauces, you have a breakfast many restaurants would envy. You can purchase the rolls at the shop or make them yourself.
This recipe is perfect for a lazy weekend breakfast or a hearty workday lunch. Warm, cold, and indulgent—these bagels fit perfectly into the daily menu. Fresh avocado, delicate ham, and flavourful lamb's lettuce; gentle salmon, sweet red onion, and slightly tangy cream cheese; or the classic combination of bacon, egg, and cheddar cheese are simple yet tasty options that will liven up your breakfast.
Ingredients:
Version 1:
- 1 egg,
- 1 bagel,
- 40g avocado spread,
- 2 slices of ham,
- 1 handful of lamb's lettuce,
- 2 slices of tomato,
Version 2:
- 1 egg,
- 1 bagel,
- 40g cream cheese,
- 20g smoked salmon,
- 10g red onion,
- half a teaspoon of lemon juice.
Version 3:
- 40g sliced bacon,
- 1 egg,
- 1 bagel,
- 1 teaspoon ketchup,
- 1 leaf of lettuce,
- 2 slices of cheddar cheese.
Preparation Method:
Bagel with Ham: Heat some fat in a pan. Pour in the egg white and place half a bagel on it. Put the other half alongside, placing the yolk in the hole. Remove from the pan when the white sets.
Season the white base with salt and pepper and spread with mashed avocado. Add ham, lamb's lettuce, and tomato, then top with the bun with the yolk.
Bagel with Salmon: Spread cream cheese on the bottom half of the bagel. Add lamb's lettuce, smoked salmon, and drizzle with lemon juice. Add the red onion. Pour in the egg white, place the top part of the bagel, and put the yolk in the hole. When the egg is ready, assemble the sandwich.
Bagel with Bacon: Fry the bacon slices in a pan until they are crispy. Prepare the bun as in the salmon version—fry the top part with the egg white and yolk in the hole. Spread ketchup on the bottom part, add lettuce, cheddar, bacon, and cover with the other half. Enjoy!
