The changes are cosmetic but noticeable at first glance. The updates include a new light signature for the Matrix LED lights, a gigantic grille with three-dimensional decorative elements resembling a honeycomb, giant intakes in the lower part of the bumper, and faux air intakes at the car's rear.
Audi is introducing 23-inch alloy wheels with tyres sized at 295/35, which are approximately 11 lbs lighter than the smaller wheels. Additionally, composite brake discs with a diameter of 17 inches work alongside 10-piston callipers. Alternatively, a fully ceramic solution is standard in the RS Q8 performance.
Audi RS Q8 and Q8 performance – performance
Now, to the most crucial part. The RS Q8 is powered by a twin-turbocharged eight-cylinder V8 engine, generating 600 HP and 800 Nm of torque in the 2200-4500 rpm range. This guarantees a 0-62 mph time of 3.8 seconds. The performance version reduces this time to 3.6 seconds thanks to producing 640 HP and 850 Nm of torque. It is the most potent production combustion engine in the history of Audi Sport, with power gains achieved through exhaust modifications.
All RS Q8 versions have permanent four-wheel drive, favouring the rear axle (by default, 60 percent of the power goes there). Up to 85 percent of the power can go to the front axle in slippage. Air suspension, which can change the vehicle's ground clearance by 3.5 inches, is also standard. Electronically controlled stabilisers that keep the body in check are an optional feature. The cherry on top is the rear axle steering.
The RS Q8 and RS Q8 performance orders can be placed from 27 June. Prices start at €141,900 and €155,700, respectively.
