Arizona man detained after alleged threats to kill Trump
A man from Arizona who allegedly threatened to kill Donald Trump has been detained, reports the BBC. Previously, a manhunt was underway with the former president's visit to Cochise County, Arizona.

The detainee is 66-year-old Ronald Lee Syvrud from Cochise County, where Donald Trump was present on Thursday. According to the police, in the past two weeks, he threatened the former president with death in social media posts.
In the past, he had also been involved in drink-driving and a hit-and-run incident. Authorities also state that Syvrud is wanted for failing to register as a sex offender.
On Thursday afternoon, it was reported that the man had been detained in the county "without any incidents."
Trump on the wanted 66-year-old: I'm not surprised
Trump himself, during Thursday's appearance in Cochise County, spoke about his rival Kamala Harris as being responsible for allowing illegal immigrants into the USA. Asked whether he knew about the search for the 66-year-old, he said: "No, I haven't heard that, but I'm not that surprised," he said, indicating that: "The reason is because I want to do things that are very bad for the bad guys".
This is not the first threat against presidential candidates recently. At the beginning of August, a 66-year-old man from Virginia was arrested on charges of threatening to kill Vice President Harris and other state officials.
In July, during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, there was an attempted assassination on Donald Trump. The perpetrator was shot dead by the Secret Service. The FBI is investigating the incident.
At the end of August, a statement was issued saying: "What struck former President Trump in the ear was a bullet, whether whole or fragmented into smaller pieces, fired from the deceased subject’s rifle". Trump then stated that he "took the bullet for democracy".
