Serena Williams' husband has Lyme disease

Alexis Ohanian reported that he had been unwell for some time and decided to see a doctor to identify what was wrong. Despite his disbelief, he shared that he suffers from Lyme disease, which he communicated to his followers on social media.

I underwent a series of exams and tests, and it turns out I have Lyme disease. Unreal. Fortunately, I am without symptoms, but I will be getting treatment. My good cholesterol is too low, whereas my bad cholesterol is fine. I need to work on that. Positive sides: 28 nmol/L total + 6 nmol/L free testosterone, wrote Alexis Ohanian on X.

In response to his post, he discussed with netizens that a close person to him had faced a similar problem.

She exhibited many symptoms and just couldn't figure it out until she was tested and then diagnosed (also treated successfully), he wrote, adding that he rarely spends time in areas where ticks, which transmit this disease, are present.

Despite the seriousness of the situation, Serena Williams' husband remains light-hearted. In response, he posted a gif from the cartoon "The Tick", adding: "You can't stop me, tick".

Alexis Ohanian is the co-founder of Reddit, and he met Serena Williams by chance in 2015 during a stay at a hotel in Italy. Two years later, the couple got married and have been happy ever since. They are parents to two daughters: Alexis Olympia and Adira River.
