The news of the legendary French actor's death was reported to the AFP agency by his children, Anthony and Alain-Fabien, and his daughter, Anouchka. It had been known since 2019 that Alain Delon was seriously ill and needed constant care. At that time, he was already staying at his estate in Douchy, where his caretaker Hiromi Rollin lived with him. It was she whom the actor's adult children accused of manipulating the ailing Delon, isolating him from his loved ones, and even of abuse.
The star's sons and daughter achieved their goal last summer when an investigation into the matter was launched. Investigators established that Hiromi Rollin had slapped the actor in response to a blow he had dealt her. The French newspaper "Le Parisien" accessed the investigation records, revealing Alain Delon's dire health. According to them, the actor would fall asleep during conversations, had difficulty forming sentences, and could not walk unaided. Allegedly, he told a doctor: "I want to die, life is over."
Conflict among Delon's children
The investigation was discontinued, but Rollin was still expelled from the estate in Douchy. This is when a battle starts between Delon's children. The sons wanted their father to stay in his home, while the daughter wished for him to live with her in Switzerland. This request might have been motivated by a desire to avoid inheritance tax in the event of the father's death. Ultimately, the court decided that Delon would stay in Douchy. That is where he passed away.
It is said that the actor left half of his fortune to Anouchka in his will, with the other half to be divided between his two sons. Commentators already predict that the men will want to challenge their father's last will.
