The object of Penelope's affection is the 5-years-older Colin Bridgerton. In reality, however, the actor is younger than his on-screen partner. The 24-year-old aristocrat is played by 31-year-old Luke Newton.

Florence Hunt plays 12-year-old Hyacinth, the youngest Bridgerton sibling. The actress was born in 2007 and is 17 today.

Claudia Jessie, 34, portrays 19-year-old Eloise Bridgerton, 15 years older than her character.

The actress's age playing the role of 18-year-old Franceska Bridgerton might also be quite surprising. Hannah Dodd, who portrays the young aristocrat, is actually 29 years old.
