A moment of inattention and forgetfulness, and the grill looks like it has been through a lot. Instead of throwing up your hands and crying over spilt milk, try a simple trick. Thanks to this, the appliance will look like new.

Cheese seeps out here, too much waffle batter overflows there, and a disaster ensues. Cleaning the device may seem like a daunting task, but with a simple trick, it will go smoothly. The grill will look like new, and you will save yourself the stress of long scrubbing and scraping, which can damage the surface.

How do you clean a grill?

The grill is a small but indispensable appliance in the kitchen that allows you to quickly prepare a delicious breakfast. However, it has a small drawback - cleaning it is not the easiest and most pleasant task. You know the scenario: you eat delicious toasts, and leftover cheese and grease remain in the grill, which dry out over time, creating an unpleasant, hard-to-remove crust. Leftover food is also a breeding ground for many microorganisms, so it's really important to keep it clean. Fortunately, there is a simple and effective way to get rid of these stains.

Of course, the easiest way is to maintain its cleanliness after each use by wiping the grill plates with a damp sponge or cloth. You can also use preventive methods, such as lining it with parchment paper beforehand. Sometimes, however, you can't prevent it, and you have to treat it. Potato starch comes to the rescue.

  • 2 teaspoons of baking soda.

Instructions:

  1. Add the baking soda and potato starch to the water and mix thoroughly.
  2. Heat the appliance well.
  3. Pour the prepared mixture onto the heated plates. Close the device and bake for 5 minutes.
