The relationship between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has been a captivating subject for media worldwide for years. Both their passionate love affair and later adoptions of children, as well as their dramatic separation, were followed with great fascination by fans of not only the actors themselves but also the films in which they co-starred.

The period of separation was challenging for the couple. The children suffered during this time, becoming the subject of battles between the actors over who would have more parental rights.

Now, over eight years after the couple filed for divorce in court, their daughter Shiloh, who turns 18 this year, has added fuel to the fire. According to Fox News, she hired a lawyer and subsequently filed a request to remove the Pitt part of her two-part surname.

The girl's decisive reaction is alleged to be negative emotions and pain associated with Brad Pitt. She reportedly announced her decision through a notice in the Los Angeles Times. While confirming her name change, the teenager denies using the media to communicate this information.

Shiloh Jolie did not take out an "ad" announcing any name change, and any press reporting that is inaccurate. As Shiloh’s attorney, I am required to publish a legal notice because the law in California requires that of anyone who wants to change their name. That legal notice was published in the Los Angeles Times, as is required - states Shiloh's lawyer, quoted by Fox News.
