I know that initially, it might seem that waffles and burgers are two completely different worlds. However, that's only in theory because, as practice shows, iconic recipes can definitely be combined. And in what a way. I guarantee you that such a combination will be impossible to ignore.
Of course, this is not the end of my surprise for you. These ingenious waffle burgers will be based on reliable potatoes. At the same time, there will be no shortage of colourful and tasty additions, such as delicious beef, homemade sauce, onions, cheddar, romaine lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes. It looks exciting and tastes even better!
Make waffle-burgers just once, and your loved ones will ask for them every week. They are that good!
Ingredients:
Sauce:
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise,
- 2 tablespoons ketchup,
- 1 teaspoon dried garlic,
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika,
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar,
- 2 small pickles.
Waffle-burgers:
- 400 grams of ground beef,
- 800 grams potato balls,
- 1 onion,
- spices: salt and pepper to taste,
- 170 grams shredded cheddar,
- ½ romaine lettuce,
- ½ tomato,
- 1 pickle.
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the sauce for the future snack. Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, dried garlic, sweet paprika, apple cider vinegar, and finely chopped pickles. Mix the ingredients thoroughly to create the perfect flavour combination.
Step 2: Next, prepare the meaty bites. Divide the ground beef into 4 parts, then form small balls from them.
Step 3: It's time for the potato waffles, which will replace classic bread in this recipe. Place the potato balls in the waffle iron and bake them for a few minutes until they beautifully combine and turn golden brown.
Step 4: Return to working with the meat. Create four spots with pieces of onion on a heated and greased pan. Place the meat directly on the vegetables and season it with salt and pepper.
Step 5: After a moment, place a piece of parchment paper directly on each meaty item and press them down with a kitchen spatula.
Step 6: This procedure instantly turns the balls into perfect patties. Finally, fry them on each side for a few minutes. About 2 minutes before taking the fried meat off the pan, sprinkle yellow cheese on top of it.
Step 7: Finally, it's time to assemble the waffle-burger. On the potato patty, layer a coat of sauce, pieces of lettuce, two pieces of meat, slices of tomato and pickles, another coat of sauce, and a potato patty in the form of a waffle.
