Spending long periods in a single position, such as during extended car journeys or office work, combined with low physical activity or unsuitable footwear, can lead to water retention and cause swelling. After such a day, it's beneficial to soak your feet in water with the addition of apple cider vinegar. Fifteen minutes a day is sufficient. The emphasis should be on consistency.

Swollen feet will be a thing of the past

Vinegar is primarily linked with pickling and preserving foods, and it's also used in homemade cleaning products. However, it can also be utilised for body care, particularly for the feet.

To prepare the bath, you need a basin of warm water to which you add a cup of vinegar for each litre. You can also include sea salt and Epsom salt to soften the skin and lavender oil for a pleasant scent and relaxation. Soaking feet for 15 minutes daily over seven days can be highly beneficial.

A vinegar bath helps remove calluses and dead skin

This treatment is effective not only for weary feet but also for various other ailments. A vinegar bath assists in removing calluses, alleviates pain, supports the healing of cracked skin, and softens toughened heels. Vinegar with salt helps remove dead skin and softens the skin, making it easier to follow up with a moisturising cream.

Vinegar effectively eliminates unpleasant foot odour. It also strengthens nails and can aid in combating fungal infections. However, it should not be used on open wounds or foot irritations, as it may cause more harm than good.
