Initial reports of the reactions of the main parties interested in the breakthrough regarding US military aid for Kyiv, namely Ukrainian soldiers, were shared by Ukrainian diplomat Oleksandr Szczerba.

Szczerba quoted an SMS he received from one of the soldiers he knows, serving on the front line.

"The whole unit watched (the course of voting in the US House of Representatives on the aid for Ukraine - ed.). After the vote, one could hear all over the trench: 'YESSS!'" - quoted the diplomat on the X platform.

"Thank you!" - added Szczerba.

The deadlock on aid for Ukraine has been broken

The House of Representatives voted on Saturday on a nearly £50 billion aid package for Ukraine. The vote breaks a deadlock in the House that has been ongoing for months and paves the way to resume support for Ukraine next week.

The bill was supported by a large majority of congressmen from both parties, by a vote of 311-112. All Democrats and a minority of Republicans (101 of 213) voted for the act.

The bill will now go to the Senate, where it is likely to be voted on next week. The bill's adoption is expected on Tuesday, but everything will depend on the procedural arrangements between the parties in the Senate.
