US and UK warn of potential terrorist attacks in Moscow amid tension

"The Embassy is monitoring reports that extremists have plans to attack large gatherings in Moscow, including concerts," the warning issued on Thursday by the American mission and the Department of State reads.
The US Embassy in Russia appealed for Americans to avoid large gatherings for the next 48 hours.
The UK Foreign Office published a similar statement.
London called for citizens to refrain from all travel to the country "due to the risk and dangers." "The situation in Russia is unpredictable," the statement from the ministry quoted by the Ukrainska Pravda service reads.
