The Israel Defence Forces revealed photos of pilots who participated in the night action of intercepting drones and missiles launched from Iran.

In the photos published on social media, one can see, among other things, Israel Air Force fighters standing in a hangar and two pilots whose faces were intentionally hidden.

As stated in the post, the photo was taken just after their return from a mission aimed at neutralizing objects flying to Israel from Iran.

Tensions in the Middle East. Iran attacked Israel

Iran fired over 300 drones and missiles at Israel during the night, of which 99% were shot down, which is a "very significant strategic success," - the Israeli military stated on Sunday morning. The strike lasted five hours. "This is the largest drone attack in history" - writes CNN.

US President Joe Biden said that "Iran—and its proxies operating out of Yemen, Syria and Iraq—launched an unprecedented air attack against military facilities in Israel".

Earlier, Benjamin Netanyahu declared in a speech that Israel is ready for a direct attack from Iran and will respond in kind. "Whoever hurts us, we will hurt them," he said.

The Tehran attack was announced as retaliation for the bombardment last week by Israel of the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria. Seven members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps, including two generals responsible for Iran's military operations abroad, were killed in it.
