Unlocking the joy of Turkish eggs: A delicious alternative to tired breakfast staples
Breakfasts are typically dominated by cereals, including regular ones, oatmeal, and various types of scrambled eggs. However, eggs can also be served in many other ways, which could be more delicious than traditional scrambled eggs. Additionally, these dishes can be presented exceptionally well and can be served in a very aesthetically pleasing way, undeniably enhancing our culinary experience.
As adults, we often face the issue of daily meal and breakfast planning. Preparing complex, time-consuming dishes isn't always appealing, and spending many hours standing by the stove is unattractive. One such dish is Turkish eggs. They offer a delicious and beautifully presented alternative to classic scrambled or fried eggs. Try them once, and you'll realize you've discovered your new favorite breakfast!
Turkish eggs
Ingredients:
- Approximately 300 grams of thick natural yoghurt,
- 4 eggs,
- 2 cloves of garlic,
- 2 tablespoons of butter,
- 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika powder,
- A pinch of hot paprika powder,
- A handful of parsley,
- 2 tablespoons of apple vinegar,
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice,
- Salt, pepper.
Method:
- To start, prepare the sauce. Pour the yoghurt into a bowl, then add garlic to it, crushed with a press. Also, add the lemon juice. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and chill them in the refrigerator.
- Then, combine water in a saucepan with two tablespoons of apple vinegar. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat. Once you observe the water starting to boil, stir energetically before pouring in an egg.
- Wait a moment until the egg white envelops the yolk. After a few moments, the egg will coagulate. Use a slotted spoon to remove it.
- Melt the butter and sauté the spices in it, and at the very end, add the dill and parsley.
- Distribute the sauce on a plate, arrange the eggs on top, and drizzle over the herb and spice-infused butter. Serve the Turkish eggs with fresh bread. They're most delicious that way.
