Ukrainians warm to peace concessions as opposition wanes
Ukrainians have expressed their views on the possibility of making concessions to Russia in exchange for peace. This marks a significant shift in attitudes.
According to "Ukrainian Pravda," by the end of 2024, there has been an increase in the number of Ukrainians willing to consider territorial concessions for peace. Conversely, the percentage of those firmly against any concessions has declined.
From May to early October 2024, the situation remained unchanged. However, between the beginning of October and December, the proportion of respondents willing to make certain territorial concessions rose from 32% to 38%.
Meanwhile, the percentage of those adamantly opposed to any concessions decreased. Currently, 51% of Ukrainians oppose any territorial concessions, down from 58% at the start of October.
