Ukrainian troops withdraw from critical positions in Kherson region

Ukrainian troops have withdrawn from the town of Krynki on the eastern bank of the river in the Kherson region, reported Ukrainska Pravda on Tuesday. As a result, the defenders lost a foothold on the Russian-occupied bank of the Dnieper River.

According to Ukrainska Pravda, citing sources in the Ukrainian naval infantry, the military reports that this happened several weeks ago.

On 14 July, DeepState analysts reported that the Russians had taken the village of Urozhayne in the Donetsk region.

In October 2023, Ukrainian forces captured a foothold in Krynki. Since then, the occupying forces have almost daily attempted to dislodge the Ukrainian troops from Krynki, as regularly mentioned in the daily reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The exchange of blows on the front continues

In the last 24 hours, there were 86 combat clashes on the front. The Russians carried out three missile attacks on Ukrainian territory, as well as 46 airstrikes, dropping 82 anti-aircraft missiles. Additionally, the Russians destroyed 417 kamikaze drones and conducted over 3,000 attacks on Ukrainian soldier positions and populated areas.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces are attacking Russian air defence systems in occupied and border areas with Russia. According to the American Institute for the Study of War, these attacks are related to the anticipated deployment of F-16 fighters into action upon their imminent arrival in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief, General Oleksandr Syrski, reported on 16 July that Ukrainian forces attacked an S-300 position in the occupied Donetsk region and that the Ukrainian troops had destroyed a total of 20 S-300 launchers and 15 radar stations within an unspecified time frame.
