The assault involved three missile projectiles, likely launched from HIMARS systems. According to independent Russian media, the exact tally of fatalities and injuries remains uncertain, based on their sources.

It appears this strike in the Luhansk region is not the first of its kind conducted by Ukrainian forces lately. In the latter part of February, the Ukrainian military confirmed at least three missile strikes on groups of Russian troops near the occupied Nova Kakhovka in the Kherson area. A spokesman of the Ukrainian Military Intelligence (HUR), Andriy Yuso, suggested over 60 enemy soldiers were killed in these operations.

In the same timeframe, a similar assault against Russian military units near the village of Trudiwskie, in the Volnovakha district, within the Donetsk area, was reported. According to the Russian version of the BBC, around 60 soldiers were also killed in this incident.
