April 6, 2024, marks the 773rd day of the war in Ukraine. Another day brings more video footage directly from this most well-documented armed conflict in history.

And this time, the footage most likely came from a drone. Over more than two years of Russian aggression, Ukrainian operators have mastered the control of this equipment.

However, the ground drone plays the main role in the brief footage taken somewhere at the front in Ukraine. The UAV approaches the bridge set for demolition.

A bridge needed to be demolished somewhere at the front, likely to slow the Russian units' advance. In the 21st century, a sapper can achieve this remotely, so a rover was enlisted for this task.

Successful delivery of explosives. Ukrainian ground drone demolished a bridge near Bakhmut. Video material: 5th Assault Brigade — as we read in the post by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence on the X(Twitter) platform.

In the footage published by the official profile of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, we see how the machine approaches its target. The drone, with explosive charges attached, drives onto the bridge. The rover skillfully manoeuvres around all obstacles and holes.

It appears to be another routine mission. The rover has already reached the bridge. At that moment, it seems the operator failed to notice a vast gap in which the drone plunged.

Fortunately, the quick detonation of the charges, which explodes almost immediately, reduces the entire bridge to rubble. It was a close call.
