Ukrainian armed forces carried out an attack on an ammunition depot in the Volgograd region of Russia on the night from Saturday to Sunday, where Iranian missiles were stored, Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Centre for Counteracting Disinformation at the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, reported.

"Kotluban, Volgograd region. The ammunition depot of the Main Directorate of Missile and Artillery Armament of the Ministry of Defence of Russia was attacked. Iranian ballistic missiles and launchers for them were stored there," wrote Andrii Kovalenko on his Telegram channel.

These reports have not yet been confirmed by other Ukrainian governmental institutions.

Earlier that same day, in the morning hours, Russian authorities reported the downing of 125 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 67 in the Volgograd region, several hundred miles from the border with Ukraine.
